The Idaho Supreme Court is the highest judicial authority in the state, serving as the final arbiter on matters of state law and constitutional interpretation. Composed of five justices elected in nonpartisan elections, the court hears appeals from lower courts, interprets laws passed by the Idaho Legislature, and provides legal oversight for state agencies. The Supreme Court also has administrative authority over the state’s judicial system, ensuring consistency and fairness across all Idaho courts.
